RICS Level 2 – Home Survey
The most common survey type, also known as a ‘HomeBuyer Report’. The survey includes a full detailed inspection with a professional report. The report provides a general overview of the properties condition, any legal or health and safety issues and highlights defects that require repair. The Level 2 -Home Survey / Homebuyer Report will give you the property specific information that you require to make a reasoned and informed decision on your purchase.
The Level 2 survey is most appropriate for modern homes of conventional construction built in the last 70-80 years (post war) that are in a reasonable state of repair. For older properties, buildings that have undergone significant alterations or refurbishment a more detailed Level 3 – Building Survey is recommended.
